The Collection of the Pictures of a Great American Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017.
National Solar Observatory of the United States has reported on their official website that the solar eclipse that has taken place on August 21, 2017, in the US lasted for 1.5 hours. Only the denizens of the United States were able to observe such an incredible phenomenon like a total solar eclipse.
Scientists noted that the moon closed the sun for 1.5 hours, and the solar corona was several times larger than during the previous eclipses.
The eclipse on August 21 was visible only in the US, and also partially in Western Europe and South America. The city of Carbondale (USA) will become a unique place where there will be two total solar eclipses within seven years – in 2017 and 2024.
